Legacy Shop Purchase Terms

1.1 These terms apply to downloadable products sold through the Legacy Shop on herwovenlegacy.com, such as The Legacy Conversation Guide and its printable and fillable worksheets ("Products"). They do not cover commissioned services, which are handled under a separate Master Services Agreement and Project Order. Section 10 also applies to anyone who visits herwovenlegacy.com.

1.2 By completing a purchase, you agree to these terms. The terms shown at checkout when you buy apply to that purchase.

2.1 When you buy a Product, HWL grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it with your own family, as described below.

2.2 Family use. "Family" includes your relatives, whether or not they live in your household, and gatherings of your relatives such as a family reunion. You may: use the Product with your family and print copies for that use; give or send copies of individual worksheets to relatives who are helping with your family's project; and share your completed pages, answers, and recordings with your family, including by email or a family group chat.

2.3 Not allowed. You may not: sell, resell, or trade the Product files or worksheets to anyone, including relatives; share or distribute the Product files or worksheets in any way other than the family sharing described in Section 2.2; post the Product files, worksheets, or large portions of them publicly, including online, in groups that include people outside your family, or on file-sharing sites; use a Product in a paid service, workshop, class, or other commercial setting; or remove HER Woven Legacy™ branding or notices.

2.4 Groups and organizations. A school, library, church, community organization, business, or any other group that is not your family needs HWL's permission to use a Product. Email hello@herwovenlegacy.com to ask.

3.1 Products are delivered digitally, by a download link provided after purchase (on the confirmation page, by email, or both), usually within minutes of payment.

3.2 If you cannot open or download a Product, or you do not receive it, email hello@herwovenlegacy.com within 30 days of purchase. HWL will resend the link or provide the file in another format.

3.3 You are responsible for having a device and software that can open PDF files. If a download link expires or stops working, email HWL and it will reissue the link for up to 12 months after purchase.

4.1 Because Products are digital and can be copied once delivered, purchases are generally final. HWL may consider other refund requests made within 7 days of purchase on a case-by-case basis.

4.2 HWL will refund your purchase if: the Product cannot be delivered or opened after HWL's reasonable attempts to fix the problem; or you were charged more than once for the same Product.

4.3 Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 14 days.

4.4 This Section does not limit any rights you have under laws that cannot be waived.

5.1 HWL and its licensors own the Products, including their text, questions, layouts, and branding. Buying a Product gives you a license to use it, not ownership of it.

5.2 What you write or record in a Product, such as your family's stories and answers, belongs to you and your family.

6.1 The Products are educational and creative guides for preserving family stories. They are not legal, financial, medical, or professional genealogical advice, and HWL does not promise any particular result.

6.2 Please respect the privacy and wishes of the relatives you interview, and get their permission before recording them or sharing their stories.

7.1 HWL may update Products or these terms. Updated terms apply to future purchases; the terms in place when you buy apply to that purchase. HWL may also transfer these terms and the operation of the shop to a business entity it forms, and will post a notice on herwovenlegacy.com when that happens. Your license continues unchanged.

7.2 If HWL releases an updated version of a Product you bought, HWL may offer it to you at no charge but is not required to.

8.1 Payments are handled by a secure third-party payment provider. HWL does not see or store your full card number.

8.2 HWL uses your name, email, and purchase details to deliver the Product, provide support, and keep business and tax records. HWL does not sell your information. See HWL's Privacy Policy at herwovenlegacy.com/privacy-policy for details.

9.1 To the fullest extent the law allows, HWL's total liability for any claim relating to a Product is limited to the price you paid for it, and HWL is not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

9.2 Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10.1 This section applies to everyone who visits herwovenlegacy.com, whether or not they buy anything.

10.2 Content. The Woven Journal posts, free downloads such as the "10 Questions to Ask Your Elders" sampler, images, and other content on this website belong to HWL or are used with permission. You are welcome to read them, print them, and share links to them. You may not copy, republish, sell, or use them commercially without written permission. Short quotes are fine if you credit HWL and link to the original.

10.3 Free resources. Free downloads are for personal and family use, under the same limits as Section 2.

10.4 Brand. HER Woven Legacy™, its logos, woven emblem, and tagline may not be used without written permission.

10.5 Family photos and stories. Family photographs and stories on this website are shared with the permission of the people involved. Please do not copy or reuse them.

10.6 For general education. Website content is general information about family history and preservation. It is not legal, financial, or medical advice. Research results depend on the records available, and HWL does not guarantee any particular outcome.

10.7 Other websites. Links to other websites are provided for convenience. HWL is not responsible for their content.

10.8 Section 9 (Limits of Liability) also applies to your use of this website.
