Our Story
HER Woven Legacy™ began with a deeply personal journey to uncover family history, honor the women who shaped it, and preserve what future generations deserve to know.
Where It Began
HER Woven Legacy began with my own family. As I researched my ancestry, collected family stories, developed the La Famille Charles website, and shaped the vision for the ECLE, I realized I was creating more than separate family projects. I was weaving together our history, identity, memories, and hopes for the future into one lasting legacy.
That journey showed me how easily meaningful stories can become scattered, forgotten, or lost when no one takes the time to preserve them. It also showed me the power of bringing those pieces together with intention.
HER Woven Legacy was created from that realization: every family has a story worth protecting, and every woman deserves the opportunity to see her life, her influence, and the legacy she is building thoughtfully preserved.
Founder & Lead Storyteller
Thahisha D.
HER Woven Legacy grew from my own journey of uncovering my family’s history, preserving the stories of the women who shaped me, and creating something meaningful for the generations who will come after me.
What began as a personal vision—to honor my roots and build a lasting legacy for my family—became the inspiration for a business that can help other women and families do the same.
Through storytelling, creativity, and thoughtful preservation, I help transform memories, history, and future dreams into legacies that can be carried forward.

Our Mission
HER Woven Legacy™ exists to uncover, preserve, and thoughtfully share the lives, voices, and wisdom of women and families. Through genealogy, oral history, archival preservation, and creative storytelling, we bring scattered memories and family histories together into meaningful legacies that can be carried forward for generations.
What We Believe
We believe meaningful family history is not measured by fame, wealth, or recognition. Everyday lives—and the people who nurtured families, preserved traditions, and carried communities forward—deserve to be remembered.
Legacy work requires patience. We value careful research, thoughtful listening, accurate documentation, and storytelling that honors the people at its center.
Women are at the heart of this work. We seek to preserve the voices, labor, wisdom, and love of mothers, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, daughters, and chosen family whose contributions are too often overlooked.
Family stories can be personal and sensitive. We believe they must be handled with consent, discretion, accuracy, and respect. Each family retains ownership of its story.
We create with the future in mind, organizing and preserving stories in forms that can be understood, shared, and carried forward through generations.
We are especially committed to honoring Black and Caribbean families and other communities whose histories have too often been overlooked, scattered, or left out of traditional records.
How We Work
HER Woven Legacy™ approaches legacy preservation with patience, curiosity, and care. Each story begins with listening, develops through thoughtful research, takes shape through storytelling, and is preserved with future generations in mind.
We begin by listening—to the memories people carry, the questions families want answered, and the stories they hope future generations will know.
We thoughtfully explore available records, photographs, documents, oral histories, and family-held materials to uncover connections and bring greater context to each story.
We bring the pieces together through meaningful storytelling that honors what is known, acknowledges what remains uncertain, and keeps the family’s voice at the center.
We organize stories and materials into meaningful forms designed to be shared and carried forward—from written narratives and timelines to digital collections and other legacy projects.
HER Woven Legacy™ is growing thoughtfully, one story, memory, and connection at a time. Follow the journey as we explore family history, women’s stories, cultural heritage, and meaningful ways to preserve what matters for future generations.
